During 2010 the seminar will be organized together with the Geometry Seminar. The main idea is to share the sessions to allow the participants of both seminars to listen to experts in both areas, which are deeply related. For more information about the Geometry Seminar contact

This seminar is organized by the Research Group of Lie Theory. It addresses both the current Lie theory as well as issues of algebra and geometry in which Lie theory has had some impact (vertex algebras, Hopf algebras, quantum groups, etc.).

As a general rule, professors from other universities working in the area and visiting our faculty, are often invited to give a talk at the seminar. Besides, local researchers expose here their latest results.

For more information about the lectures, such as abstracts, visit our web page Seminario de Lie in Novedades FaMAF.
